A Mexican judge sentenced three men to 158 years and nine months each in prison for the 2024 murders of Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and American surfer Carter Rhoad.
The three defendants were declared guilty a week prior to sentencing of homicide, aggravated robbery, robbery with violence and vehicle theft with violence, according to The Guardian. The crimes occurred during a surf trip to Baja California.
The convictions cover multiple offences beyond the homicides. The men were found guilty of the violent robberies and vehicle theft that accompanied the killings of the three surfers.
