Christopher Alan Saunders, a 76-year-old former bishop of Broome in Western Australia, was sentenced to more than six years in prison for sexually abusing two young Aboriginal men. He will serve at least four and a half years behind bars.

The West Australian district court found Saunders guilty of 13 sex offences following a jury trial. He becomes the highest-ranked Catholic in Australia convicted of sexual abuse during his time as a member of clergy, according to The Guardian.

Saunders was known for hosting boozy parties, The Guardian reports. The charges relate to his abuse of young Aboriginal men while serving as a bishop.
